With an extensive background in classical ballet, modern and contemporary dance, heels choreography, and various genres of traditional dance, Angel has explored the catharsis that dance can provide to all human beings. Angel discovered the art form of pole dance three years ago, and ever since, he has been in love with the possibilities that are attainable through the relationship of body to pole. As a femme identifying gay male, Angel found self-love and confidence through pole, especially through the usage
of heels and exotic movement.
Angel graduated with a B.A. from California State University, Fullerton, with a double major in English Literature, and Dance. During his time there, Angel performed on a regular basis and during the summers he completed various ballet summer intensives on full scholarship. Angel now works for a non-profit as the Assistant Program Coordinator, helping underserved youth reach their full potential.
Angel continues to remain active by trail running, hiking, training at the gym, practicing yoga, and continuing his dance training in pole and other forms of dance. Angel hopes to compete next year, and he is extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to teach pole. Angel’s main goal is to help others gain self-love and confidence through dance. He hopes that anyone who walks into his class will walk out feeling powerful, seductive, and assertive, with the knowledge that one can conquer the world one clack and hair whip at a time.
