With 21 years of experience in martial arts with multiple black belts, Lauren Manzano’s foray into the dance world is unusual. As a competitive fighter, she supplemented her training with the feminine dance form of belly dance and quickly showed a love for the ancient dance. Fast-forward five years and Lauren retired from fighting and began taking pole classes while teaching belly dance at UC Irvine. The mixture of muscle engagement and athleticism with the natural sensuality and grace of pole dancing easily had her delving head-on successfully into the competitive pole world. Lauren is currently the 2017 PSO National Level 3 Junior Exotic gold medalist and 2017 PSO PPC Level 3 Junior Dramatic silver medalist.
Teaching movement for more than 14 years, Lauren brings together her extensive and diverse backgrounds to create a unique approach to dance that emphasizes body awareness, muscle engagement, and proper technique to inspire organic, sensual movement.
In short, Lauren is a butt-kicking, coffee-drinking, shoulder-mount-loving pole dancer with a love for muscle isolation.
